Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument is an awesome hike though cone shaped rock formations and slot canyons. I had the wonderful experience to have seven of my siblings and their families come visit us in New Mexico and we all did the hike together. The majority of the hike is easy enough even for little children, however, the very end gets steep. Painting this beautiful place was such a pleasure. I have also wanted to paint a bald eagle for a long time. Bald eagles are my dad’s favorite animals. I thought painting one soaring over Tent Rocks would create such a majestic scene. So many fond memories all in one painting! Of course there are hidden things, three in this one. The more obvious hidden thing was a necessity for a painting starring a bald eagle.
