I saw this gorgeous moon one morning after dropping everyone off for the day. I tried to take pictures, but I just couldn’t capture the colors. I knew I had to paint it! To put together the painting, we photographed the slough just around the corner from my house. It was already frozen over but I wanted to make it look like there was still some running water. That was a bit of a challenge but I love how it turned out. My good friend let me use pictures of the awesome moose that he harvested. I put it all together, added a few bushes, snow mounds, and two hidden critters. And voila! We have some exciting Morning Surprises. It is a 24×30 inch oil painting on canvas.
